WJZ's Editing Techniques

I watched a news clip online similar to the one we edited in class. There was a 3-alarm fire in East Baltimore that the WJZ news crew covered in a 21 second news cast. The news cast started out with the anchor leading in with the story and soon cut to different shots of the scene while he continued to describe it.

This news clip displayed flow and coordinated the narration with the clips, there were a variety of shots which were all steady and each shot told the story. There was also a very good display of natural sound behind the voice of the narrator which made the viewers feel more apart of the story.
