The beat I chose to select for this semester is Towson University's Greek Life. I'm in a sorority at Towson, so this is a topic that is of interest to me. Not only do I have to be aware of what other Greek organizations are doing on and off campus, but I must attend all mandatory events for their philanthropies.
My beat will not only cover my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, but all other sororities and fraternities on campus. I feel like this beat topic is the best choice for me.

This is a great idea. I'm not involved in Greek Life and I really don't know much about it. This beat would give a great inside look into the organization.
This is a good idea because you can offer first hand experience and up to date to date information about what is going on in Greek Life.I am interested in what aspects of the organizations you will cover.
Your challenge, Katelyn, will be to do objective reporting on the topic. Make sure you are picking things to cover about which you don't already have a strong opinion.
